Chris Rea in Carré

Chris Rea's new tour is all about his new album Road Songs for Lovers, which will be released in September. In October, November and December he will perform in several countries. On Saturday October 7th he will perform in Carré.

Like many great artists, Chris Rea holds an entirely unique artistic vision and has always walked his own path. Although he is seen worldwide as the outsider, he left behind his musical DNA in the music industry. He is not only an artist, but also a blues enthusiast a big fan of cars, film maker and a classical composer influenced by Italy. He sold more than 30 million albums worldwide by just being himself. In the year 2017 the singer releases a new album featuring beautiful rockballads that showcased its unique voice and writing talent at the highest level.

Chris Rea, born in 1951 in Middlesbrough, released his debut album in 1978 and scored a hit with the first single Fool If You Think It's Over. In 1983, he sold more than half a million copies of his fifth studio album Water Sign, after I Can Hear Your Heartbeat became a major top 20 hit across Europe. Successor Wired To The Moon was also a great success and along with the tour that followed, he assured himself of a big fan base that is still there today.
